Thame Players Celebrate Five Winners in NODA Regional Awards

Thame Players have received five awards in the London Region Awards 2023/24 presented by the National Operatic and Drama Association (NODA) recently. NODA is the body representing, supporting and inspiring amateur theatre groups all over the UK.

The Thame Players’ award winners in the Oxfordshire District within NODA’s London Region were:

• Tony Long: The Sylvia Rawlings Lifetime Achievement Award

• Molly Rogers: The Louise English Trophy for a Person Under 30 Who Has Made an Outstanding Contribution to their Society

• Thame Players’ production of Tom Jones, directed by Colin Lee: The Pat Redhead Drama Award for Best Production of a Play or Drama

• Tom Moorwood, for his role as Blifil in Thame Players’ production of Tom Jones: The Eric Watsham Award for Best Cameo Performance in a Play or Musical

• Colin Lee, Doug Taylor and team, for the set design in Thame Players’ production of Barefoot in the Park: The Shinfield Players Scenic Design Award (in memory of Pat Barr)

The impressive award certificates were presented to the five winners at Thame Players’ Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 17th July.
