Mayor’s Charity Evening in honour of John Henry Smythe, QC, MBE, OBE

Thame Cinema for All presents the Mayor’s Charity Evening in honour of John Henry Smythe, QC, MBE, OBE.

Local resident Eddy Smythe will tell the fascinating story of his father John, whose distinguished career included flying with the RAF, as a senior officer on HMS Windrush, and as a barrister and Attorney General of Sierra Leone, before retiring to live in Thame. Eddy’s presentation includes a brief, locally-made film about his father, and he will follow this with a Q&A session with the audience.

To set the scene, we will begin the evening with a screening of:
